Kathryn Johnson Potter, a mother of a transgender child, describes her experience enrolling her son at school.

"Luke is male and I wish so bad that I could simply put male. It pained me to check female, I actually had to force myself.

"I love my little boy and can't wait for the day he can finally check male, a day that he won't be tied down by what body he was born in, a day when he can answer all these questions the way he should have always been able to and a day he can feel fully free."
